2008P Alaska 8 clawed bear

While looking at this quarter I noticed that the claws just didn't right. Found that instead of the normal 5 claws this one had 8 claws. I know the photo I have dosn't show it very well, but under a 17x loupe, the extra claws are actually sharper then the normal claws.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd keep it and do keep them. I think the jury is still out on this one.

Interesting. Doesn't look like MDD. Does look like a doubled die but tilted hub doubling tends to manifest itself near the center of the coin. This seems a little far out to me. (Take that anyway you want to.)
