    Hi,
I got my ASE's Monday and was admiring them until....opned the box and uh-oh...
It looks like it was dropped. It looks like the coin was not out of the stamp machine (or however they do it) and the edge got caught. The rim right above her head has reed markings on the matte surface and at first looked like a rim ding.
I want to take it out of the plastic holder, to take a pic, but if I do, and decide to send it back, will the mint take it back?
Since the mint website was/is down and took 5 hours to get the bald eagle comms I am not wanting to stay on hold all day.

They should still take it back, post some pics. You sure it is on the coin?

I think the mint will take anything back...gives them the opportunity to resell probably lol

The US Mint will exchange the coin without a problem. In the 32 years I have consistently purchased mint sets and coins, I have only had one coin that I ever had to send back. It was exchanged in prompt order.
