Hi everyone, this being my 1st post. My interest is that I have seen few circulated pennies and no 2008 nickels. Are they late in coming out or have I missed something?
Welcome to CoinTalk. I have seen a couple, but not a ton. I think they just take time to get around. It depends largely on where you are physically located with respect to the banking system and the Mint's distribution. You could try asking at the bank if they have some, if you're interested in a roll.
Tommy: Welcome to the forum! As for the -08's I have gotten plenty of cents, but don't remember about the nickels. Now that you mention it, I have to keep an eye out for them.
I just started receiving 2008 nickels now that we are into 2009. The cents have been plentiful and oddly enough, all the 2008 cents I am getting now are plains, we usually get only 'D's.
