2008 Nickels

Does anyone know if the 2008 P and D Jeff. nickels are going to be a mint-set only issue? I have yet to see any in circulation.

all denomination for 2008 will be low or very low as compared to previous years.

 

They are out there. Go to your local bank and ask for $20 in nickels. Odds are you will find at least 1. As the year has gone on they have been easier to find.

Yes not much need to make nickels when everybody that was hoarding and now dumping back into circulation as they ain't worth more then 5 cents.

 

I've seen a lot of 08 nickels. But, I haven't seen many 08 dimes. I doubt anyone is hoarding them. Maybe there's enough in circulation that there hasn't been a big demand in ordering from the fed.

because the mint say so. they want to reduce production due to high metal prices. they might change their mind due to very low metal prices now. anyway. the production for general circulation coins were very low.
