Hello, I noticed a penny after opening a roll and dumping them into a bowl to look them over, and immediately one of them stood out, it was different than the rest of them in color or finish. It's a 2008-P Lincoln Cent. I found some more from 2008 but this one was different, I took a couple of pictures to show you guys, and would appreciate it if someone can explain why this is appears "paler" than the others. Did they mint pennies with different finishes, or of different alloys in 2008? Thanks for any help, I hope the pictures are sufficient to see what I mean. The one I'm talking about is on the right side in both pictures.
Sometime over the past 7 years, the coin on the right was exposed to an environment that the coin on the left was not. The copper reacted to this environment by changing color slightly.
