2008 D inside D penny???????

    I have no access to a camer because I left it in the camper at the lake :( I found a 2008 penny in good condition and when I looke through my loupe, I noticed that there was a small D inside the big D mintmark. Anyone know what this might be?

    Sounds like it might be the inside of the bigger "D".... :)

    There were not two different sized mint marks used in 2008 to my knowledge, so it might be just damage.
