Yes Could be just a simple Die Chip Very minor and common. Or.. The letter B took a hit and got smooshed.
@ottozim It probably is a small die chip in the "B". Die chips like this are pretty common in the SQ series. If you happen to come across any 2005 California SQ's, you can find die chips in almost any place on the obverse or reverse........in LIBERTY......IN GOD WE TRUST......John Muir's name.......the date......I even found one with a (big blob) die break on the brim of Muir's hat. They're not worth much, but some of them can be cool. Chris
