FYI, yesterday I received a 2008 Silver American Eagle for free. If anyone is interested, I found a website FreeAmericanEagle.com and tried it. It took about 2 weeks and I received a free coin. Just an FYI since the price of silver has been high lately.
yeah and heres a FYI. I dont think Im going to sit there putting in all my information on a site thats not locked, encrypted, or secured. Humm just a thought. Can you say IDENTITY THEFT?:headbang:
Burnished Unc. Shipped My subscription order for the burnished uncirculated 2008 ASE's are listed as status "shipped" this morning when I visited the US MINT's website.:smile They're not free but I'll sleep better at night.
It is not free since you have too sign up for 2 offers too qualify for the "free" coin" good try, and i quote from them: "Upon completion of at least 2 offers below, your 2008 American Eagle will be shipped to: (If your addess is not listed or incorrect, click HERE to update your address.) Instructions: Pick at least two (2) different offers. Click the banner that corresponds to the first offer you choose. This will take you to the sponsor website and complete the offer. Once you have a confirmation from the sponsor, you can come back and choose your second offer. After you complete the second offer, you will receive an email indicating that the promotions were successful and we will ship your American Eagle Coin."
It is good to have a Post Office box when dealing with the unknown I noticed the person who posted this thread is brand new here umm! There second post also involves the sale of ASE on e-bay
I've also seen advertisements for a free ($4.95 S&H) 2008 ASE from the Discovery Coin Vault. I think this company used to be called American Historic Society. You have to sit through a ten minute sales call in which they try and get you to buy all sorts of overpriced coins, but if you continue to say no, you still get the coin. I haven't done it, but I've read on other boards of people that have. Some think it's great, others have said that they had other charges on their CC bill and it's hard to get them off. Others said that they used a "virtual credit card" with a $5.00 limit to protect them. MY advice, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
