Hi everyone, I have been hanging in the shadows trying to learn more about collecting. I have done some roll searching with some success and hours of fun. Last weekend I made my 1st trip to a coin show and was overwhelmed by all the coins.

I was wondering why the price of the 2008 14 coin proof set has climbed so rapidly? Will this price continue or will it sag back and if the opportunity was there would you purchase more for under $30.

    Thanks for your time.

I assume your talking about the Clad (Blue) set. They sold out fast at the mint for some reason and have been climbing in price since that time. Why? Haven't a clue, maybe because its the last year for the state quarters? I have seen them at shows pretty often in the $50 range. I don't know the mintage but I suppose that could be a factor if in fact its a lower mintage set.
