I was going through some Quarters for the Kids state collection and i found this.. is it Strike-through? In any case its interesting.. i will be putting it away
I'm not sure. Is this a satin finish coin, or is it a business strike? I ask because the Mint was having problems with the relatively short production life of the satin finish dies during the first couple of years. The dies were still usable, just not for the satin finish. What they did was polish away some of the satin surface and use them for business strikes. I searched many bags of the 2006-2008 States Quarters biusiness strikes that had surfaces similar to this, but I'm not 100% positive if this is what happened to your coin. Chris
