I've got mine and it is a beauty. I'm not ordering multiples of the ASE proof because I want to get a variety of other coins offered by the mint and leave plenty of spending room for the rest of the coin world.
i doubt i will be able to even get what i want from the mint this year.. they have WAY to much in the way of offerings now.. my only chance is if the mint doesnt produce the first spouse 'silver' coins, if they do.. im a gonner
There is a vissible and substantial improvement. from what I can see, between last years ASE proofs and this years. This years coins are just perfect. They are mirror like backs and crisp fully developed design strikes. Ruben
I think the mint if very fair in the pricing of these, the only problem I have with the silver eagles is the milk spotting issue. I wish the mint did something to wash the coins so they wouldn't spot months later like some are. I have read that they get an acid bath of some sort and it seems strange you would coat a coin in acid like that but I am no chemist.
