I meant to post the link to this one for sale for $750. Is this the same error? http://www.fredweinberg.com/inventory/item.php?ID=5274
Looks like the same die break to me, though less severe than his examples, and he is selling a set of 2...
Depends who is buying it really. My guess is at a B&M you would pay maybe $50 to $70. On ebay, it's anyone's guess. I guess it really pays to have something graded.
I think the op's coin was struck by the same die as the one in the link. I think the op's coin is just an earlier stage of the break. As the die that is cracked continues to strike coins, the crack will only get worse. Like conpewter said, the one shown in the link to Fred Weinberg's site is part of a set of 2 coins. Great find Jasonb!
Yes they are, and this one is just as dramatic as the other. Even for an MS66 though, $750 is about 18x more than I would ever pay for it.
There are 4-5 shattered obverse (anvil) dies known among 2007-P dimes. Each incorporates a 50% retained cud. This is one of them.
Alrighty then, I can't pass up this opportunity to show off my 1931-S buffalo nickel again. I am partial to these errors that you can see with just your eyes. In my case I still need help as I wear glasses but I'm sure y'all know what I'm saying. Oh and a fine looking dime, by crackie. lol Sorry about that, I can't help myself with the dumb old jokes, it just comes to mind as you grow older. Yeah, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!
 Ahhhh! Run for your life! Gather all the villagers and grab the pitchforks and torches! It's Frankendime! Seriously though....nice find!
That really is a nice die break! For new folks, this is what were looking for in errors. Coins that don't need to be magnified by 20 power to see. With mint errors (not die varieties) you really need to be able to see it and it be "in your face". Die varieties are different regarding magnification cause for most you need some - You don't get these often. A great coin!!!
Nice coin ! The OPs coin & the Weinberg coin are not from the same shattered die. The OP's coin has the die crack going through the word "IN" and the crack on the Weinberg coin is clearly north of that. They both appear to be the result of nicely shattered obverse dies.
