I think it's time for a really tough "what's it worth" for you all :)

From what I can find, very few of these Jefferson Missing Edge Lettering coins have actually been sold in public auctions. There have been none sold by either Heritage or Teletrade that I could find. From what I have learned about this particular error, many of them were found and graded by a single source and have been hoarded. But since it's required in the Prez Dollar registry sets, there is demand for the coin, but w/o an active market pricing is tough. I think the MS67 grade is accurate as this particular coin is very sharp looking and free of any noticable hits on the obverse or reverse. The only problem I see is a minor hit on the edge of the coin, but I couldn't get a pic of it.

I found three of these available right now on eBay, two MS65s offered at $2900 and $5400 and one MS66 offered at $14,999!!!! (but that one is also a "first day of issue" coin).

I previously owned an MS65 example and sold it privately last year in the $1500-$2500. The PCGS Guide Value says an MS67 coin is worth $5000.

But what do YOU think it's worth??? $1???? $100???? $1000???? $10000???? I know what I paid for it of course, but I'm pretty sure it's worth more than that, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it ;) Sort of curious to hear what you all think as I'm thinking of maybe trying to sell/trade this one at the ANA show here in L.A. this weekend.
