Looks like the 2006w gold eagles will be a low mintage year. In 2006 with the introduction of the one ounce buffalo there was an option in the one ounce gold eagle coin. In 2007 not only will the buffalo be available in the one ounce coin, but also the fractional denomination that are so popular. Personally I think a quarter ounce buffalo would be pretty cool, like a gold nickel. Anyhow with the addition of the buffalo fractional coins, are we looking at a low mintage in the gold eagle program for '07. Buffalo vs. the eagle. 24k vs. 22K. also the presidential spouce coins will be available. Thought '06 was the year of the gold, but looks like '07 will be bigger. Comments are welcomed
It looks like the 2007W Proof and UNC gold eagle coins will all be released early this year so I can't see them being low mintage. The buffalos I think will also be high mintage based on demand like last year. I think they sell fewer than last year but not much less for the Buffalo one ounce. The buffalo fractionals will be interesting though, depends on when they come out. I think they will be a high mintage too though unless it is limited early, until they say more though it is hard to predict.
