My order for 2 silver eagles w-mint mark and shiping date has been 12-8, 12-12, 12-14, and now 12-16 maybe I will get them someday or never :goof:
Thats not good. I brought mine a few weeks ago for the kids and I thought they'd be here by now. I'd better see whats happening. Ruben
One of my orders has a shipping date of 12/11 the other says 12/17. Come on mint, please get them to me by Xmas!!! I noticed that the other items I had on order with the unc ASE's shipped without them. I take this as a bad sign that the ASE's are going to be delayed even more or they would have waited a week and shipped them together.
No other vendor would get away with this. I could go to West Point or Washington directly? Track Order Where's my order? Ruben feels that it is on his drivers lisc. anyway, so the government has it. Apparently he trust us more than the government.
Never the less it is not a good idia to post your address or order number, my new shiping date as of today is now 12-18 06.
Its not so much that as much as 1) I'm already a public figure - articles written about me etc 2) My PHARMACY license makes all my info public on the NY State Office of Professional Licensure web site 3) My Resume is posted at www.mrbrklyn.com Who the heck do I have left to hide from? OTOH, maybe the order number isn't a good idea to post. Ruben
Ruben: " Interests and Hobbies Birds and Parrots, Art History, Local History, Jazz, NYC, Writing, Teaching Perl and HTML" What are you ashamed of us? Frank
You beat me to the punch treashunt.I was going to post the same thing..LOL Ruben...I'm pretty sure that your order from the mint will be exactly what you are paying for but the description is incorrect. The listing you have is 2006 AMERICAN EAGLE SILVER 1 OZ COIN 7 $27.95 but should read 2006 AMERICAN EAGLE "PROOF" SILVER 1 OZ COIN 7 $27.95...otherwise,the first one is the UNC satin "W" Eagle @ $19.99 ea.
Its a newer hobby. I started out investing in a few coins for financial reasons and then I decided to keep them all! Ruben
That's directly from the Mint's webpage and I just ordered, to my knowledge, ASE proofs. How many proof types are they selling? Is it worth getting a few W uncircs? (what the heck is a circulated ASE ASE's don't circulate!) Ruben
ASEs don't circulate but now there are 2 kinds of uncirculated coins. The regular issue that the mint does not sell directly to the public. You get those through dealers. They come in a green monster box of 500. New this year is the W unc which you can buy directly from the mint in singles. The 2006 W unc's were also available in the 3 piece anniversay sets as well as the gold/silver anniversary sets. It's the same coin but it has been slabbed in two different labels and I expect a third one, once the single issues are shipped. People have been paying a premium for the blue labeled w uncs but it's the same coin, essentially. Yes, IMHO, it is definately worth getting a few W uncircs. Their mintage is much lower than the regualr standard issues. They should claim a premium over time. Everyone collecting ASEs will need to have one in their set to make it complete. In my opinion, the potential is there for future growth. I put 20 back myself, not counting all of the 3 coins sets I've stock piled. So far, the 3 coin set has been a no brainer cash cow.
would like to order a few of these myself but am afraid to because I have two pending orders on a sell out and it seems everytime i try to order something i make 3 or 4 phone call to get them straighten out. anyone know how long they will be taking orders for this
The bad thing to me is, if I order one item from the mint and them a few days later I order something else they get the two orders mixed up and that is when they keep changing the delivery date it's like they don't see two different orders and two separate payments. It's like they have to ship all items at the same time but if one of the items is back ordered they just make you wait, just send me what you have now and the other when you get it how hard is that.
I have an expect ship date of 12/6/2006 (Wed) for 2 coins. Got my order in early the first day they went on sale. Wish I would of bought more but I don't dare call the Mint and try to add to the order. It will probably get screwed up.
Well my new date as of today is 12-21-06 this coin was in a N.G.C. slab last week on the coin valut. And you can buy it at Paul Sims now for $23.95 this is the last thing I get from the mint for a long time.
