Someone posted in a previous thread about having money for all the new stuff the mint is going to issue next year. What else will be issued beyond the standard stuff they issue each year......mint,proof, eagles, state quarters, etc?

    Hello,

Well I believe the first commemorative will be a 300th anniversary of Benjamin Franklin. This is supposedly a two coin set (early Franklin, and old lecherous Franklin :) ) I'm assuming this will be a 4 coin (all) 2 coin (Proof BU) and singles of all 4 (just a geuss). I'm not certain about the second commemorative but I've heard rumors it may be the xxxth anniversary of the San Francisco Mint.

Also to be released is supposedly the too expensive for us lower middle class peoples.. proof .999 gold piece.. assuming basically an $800 price tag.

As for 2007, I believe they have plans for the 400th Anniversay of Jamestown. This assortment is supposed to include a new $10 gold piece.

    Rumors rumors rumors.. GlacierMI

Thanks for the info Glacier. The gold coin would be nice but........Anyways I really like what the mint has issued in the last couple of years. I am getting a little tired of the quarters but that is just my opinion. I am selective as to the commemoratives I buy but what I have purchased I have been very satisfied. I hope as a previous poster stated that they don't go the way of the baseball card companies.
