Ok so we coin roll hunt alot and we found few rolls that say westward journey 2006 and there gold nickles does anyone no anything about thease?
Yeah, I have quite a few! Sometimes they tone, they're not worth any more than 5 cents though as far as I know.
Westward Journey nickels were produced for the years 2004-2006. In 2004, there were two reverse designs, the "Peace Medal" and the "Keelboat". In 2005, the obverse was changed to show a partial bust facing to the right and two other reverse designs, the "Bison" and "Ocean in View". Finally the 2006 coin, "Return to Monticello", shows the forward-facing bust and a return to the original reverse design. I have dozens of the original Mint rolls for both P&D mintmarks, and some have toned a bit, probably due to the ink in the Mint wrapper. I suggest this as the cause because I put all of these rolls in the square plastic tubes to keep the wrappers from becoming overly worn. So, they have had no contact with any other substance or material (other than the inert plastic tubes) since the day I received them from the US Mint. Chris
