I recently won on eBay two Silver Dollar Set 2006 P Reverse PF S$1 Eagle 20th Anniversary PF 70 Coins.

    I paid between $ 575 and $ 625 for the two Coins.

The two Coins look almost perfect except that on the back of both of the Coins there is a tiny silver color dot around 1/4 of an inch higher than the upper left part of the "D" in word "DOLLAR".

The Tiny Dot is the same Shiny Color as the Coin Lettering and the Reversed Figure on the Coin.

The Tiny Dot is almost in the same location in the two Coins but maybe is 1/16 of an inch higher in one of the Coins.

The two Coins are from two different eBay Sellers.

The Coins "NGC" Serial Numbers are the following.

    "2216376-026" and
    "3032248-015".

I would appreciate if someone can check on the "NGC" Coin Database to verify if these two Coins are registered as true "NGC" "PF 70" Coins.

Maybe I am being too picky, but I always thought that "PCGS" or "NGC" "70" Rated Coins are truly perfect Coins without any imperfections at all.

    Thank You.

Congrats on your acquisition of this new species of proof coin. I have one myself, I love it!

You have to ask yourself this. If you sent these coins back in to be regraded, not once but lets say 10 times, do you think they would come back PR70 every time? The slabs say they are PR70, the coin "is what it is".

That is one problem I have with TPG's, no justification to the grade awarded. What criteria was or was not met.

I wouldn't worry about the spot. If you don't like it being there, your in a great position to trade for ones that are totally clean. I believe this coin will continue to go up in price for many years to come. Demand for them will increase after the 2007's are released.

There is only one way to check and make sure the coins are in real NGC slabs----and that is for you to call NGC on the phone and ask them.
I really have no doubt that the coins are fine---few people fake slabs....why not post a photo of the coins here and maybe we can help some more.

Also---that seems kindof high for these coins---If you don't like them I would send them back and get your money back and buy two nice PF69's....the chances are that you can't tell the differents from a 69 and a 70 and the price is much cheaper.

Think you got them for a good price from what i have seen on the NGC Reverse proofs 70 from what I have seen lately. Seems the 70 grades in the silver anniversary sets have dropped a little , while the 69 set are going up a bit. At least in the NGC slab.
