i was told today by the fed that they gave the ok to release the coins to the local banks.... I ordered just one box also when I spoke with the fed and they told me the 2006 nickels will not be released until the end of March Anyone hearing anything different? The coin supply guy actually gave me the number to the fed, I called then, and they actually called me back!
I am kind of new to all this coin collecting and getting stuff from the banks. What state do you live in ? I would not think the fed reserve has different release dates due to regions Most banks here give you hell getting even one roll of nickels or quarters let alone a box So I found my way to the coin supply (CDC) and call them direct then instruct a head teller at a bank who to call and how to get them for me. I have gotten 10 boxes of buffalo's and 10 of the oceanviews. Wish I did this for the Peace Nickels...that I only got one of...(THANK GOD!) If you can share with me how to get these I would appreciate any tips
