I just received my four 2006 uncirculated mint sets, and in one of the Philadelphia sets, the quarters package has two Nebraska coins, but no Nevada coin. Is this sort of error common? Does it increase the value of this particular set? Thanks for your advice.

My understanding, imperfect though it may be, is that this sort of packaging error while not necessarily common is not uncommon either. Also, being as it's merely a packaging error, and not a problem during the minting process itself, it's apt not to increase the value at all. Lastly, I'd be willing to wager that if you contacted the mint and told them what they'd sent you, they'd probably be happy to exchange it for another set.

If someone else has a different opinion on the whole value thing, I'd be interested to hear it.

    Good luck,

In 1999, I bought 2 mint sets and when they came they both had 2 of one quarter. At first I was upset, then realized they might be worth something. I put them on ebay and doubled my money. I went back to the mint and bought two more sets. There were a few other similar error sets on there at the time. I have not looked lately. Kinda interesting about yours being Nebraska, that's where I'm from!
