OK, was roll hunting Nickels and came across this Nickel. I have never seen this before. It for the most part all black, with gold color cracks throughout the obverse. The Reverse is perfect other then a few PMD scratches. The rim is normal as well. Would this be a lamination error? I looked through errors on here, but not sure what this falls under. If it is an minting error. http://coinauctionshelp.com/page14.html#.VF6Pe8n-I_T

    Thank you for your help,

    Luke

Looks more like something was on the obverse(paint?) and it cracked and peeled. I don't see how this could be an actual error.
