2006 band-aid nose lincoln

looks like lincoln may have broken his nose. anyone know about this one?

Based upon the look of Lincoln's forehead and around his' eye and nose, I would say that someone tried a little fooling with some tooling!

I've never heard of the "band-aid" error. This would be the first

 

It is authentic. What I see is a possible plating problem.

 

2006 nose

I took another closer look, the mark on his nose appears to have little waffle like markings...and I will be dern, but I see another eye in the mix...I am taking it tomorrow to the coin guy and I will let you know the outcome.

Now, a double-eye is a possibility. There are many double eye, double eye-brow, etc. coins out there. Like you said, take it to an expert if you have any doubt. Good luck. Don't let them charge you to much.

 

A classic "bullet missed his head" error and only nicked his nose.

Now seriously keep it for now. Who "nose"? - but I doubt you'll get rich from it.

 

I saw a few other 2006's with a hint of something on his nose..but nothing like this one. I don't plan to get rich with my pennies..but I love the hobby.
