The letter B that follows the the serial number is almost touching the star on both sides. Is this an error? I guess it would mean it is off center somewhere? I don't see anything else off center. Any thoughts?
Note the star point and black border. Notes are printed. All kinds of "shifts" can be found. Major ones are valuable. Yours is not. The serial number is also spaced differently. This is not the same as the ink shift on the notes. IMO, spacing differences can be found on notes from the different regions. It's the shape of the letters. IB IA the "A" is closer to the "I." @Sheila Ruley Very Busy, I'll PM you when the book is in the mail.
@Sheila Ruley, I'm not sure but I think this is the first thread by you that doesn't have a penny/cent involed. If your out of them I have containers upon containers & a few rolls of different cent types that need a good pickin thru. Oh so many pennies not enough time. One day I'll get them picked thru.
I have posted a couple of notes a few times here and there but not very often. I'm kind of trying a little of everything. LOL. Oh, I can help you with those pennies/cents Lol!
You seem to have good eyes for it. I have so many different type coins, different era's, world coins. It sometimes gets confusing, but it seems like I'm always learning something new. I'll never get bored on any given kind. When I start to I just change directions for a little while.
I am clueless about anything foreign. I am just learning about the Lincoln cent right now. Lol, I have not been doing this for very long. Just under a year now. I have learned quite a bit though but I still have a long way to go.
I just happened onto CT a couple months ago. Great for info & learning. Most people here seem to be honest, bust your chops when make a mistake congratulate when done good. Met a few good sellers. Not new to collecting for some coins new to others. But i also know I have much to learn.
I love the guys on here and Lincoln Cent Forum also! They are so helpful, knowledgeable and like you said, honest. I need all of this to learn. I especially love the honesty and how straight forward they are because I can't stand when people beat around the bush. I would rather have the tough love than the fake sense of doing good. I like being corrected. If your not, then how will one ever learn? I can't say enough good about these guys. They are fun too! Lol!
