    The sets have arrived in todays mail. Bright and fresh from the mint. I can honestly say that the sets received have never been better than the ones in these packages. Not a flaw on any of them. All keepers.[IMG]
    One heck of a good job by the U.S. Mint.

    Sorry Guys, no pictures. I'm a coin collector, not a photographer.

    Wait Dan you must have MY set!!! The Mint said they sent it to you by mistake!!!

    Mine aren't quite as good but they are still good enough to keep. Just a few rubs on Jeffersons cheek on the Denver set. The Philly set was much better, now that's a first.

    If this was a HAM radio forum, I'd be turning up the squelch to filter out the static right about now......anywho

    Dan, thanks for sharing on the new satins. I've had some severe reservations about them. I think I will have to order a set or two before the US Mints head swells.....and they forget how to make quality coins.....again.....for like the 200,000 th time. (for those who know, picture the previous sentence being read by StrongBad ;) )

    Rich;
    Whereas the uncirculated coins from the mint that has already appeared in rolls and bags all had the mirror finish, and showed every crack and dent.
    Not so the nickels in the set, they have a velvety satin finish that seems to hide any imperfection that may have been on the mirror finishes. All and all a very nice looking coin and much improved over the old finish. I hope they go to this finish on all the denominations. It would sure improve their appearance.
