I just received three 2005 silver proof sets from the U.S. Mint. There are errors on the obverse of the "Joy" nickles. It looks like a small teardrop depression to the left of the date. Only the "Joy" nickles have the error it is not the "Buffalos" in any of the sets." Also the California Quarter in one set has a dark greenish "rock" imbedded next to the foot of John Muir. Has anyone else come across these type errors?

Are you suggesting that the rock has moss growing on it? Boy, that is authentic!

    Yeah, moss! That's the ticket...

It is hard to tell if it is a delamination or a piece of corroded copper/metal. But.. it is definitely imbedded in the soil area next to his foot.. Hmm the "California Mossy-rock Quarter" that is a good name for it. Probably make it worth at least 25 cents. :D
