I just got a new 2005 11 coin proof set from the US mint. On the obverse of the Minnesota quarter is a fairly large strike through. Any ideas what this set is worth? Like I said, this is brand new from the mint, original box and COA, still sealed case. All I seem to get from people is that this is extremely rare, but no idea to value.

Cool error! Is that strike thru retained in the planchet? Wither way I would say it's probably worth $20 or $30 to the right collector for just the quarter itself. Congrats.

Not sure what you mean by "retained in the planchet". Can you explain?

Your coin looks like it was struck thru maybe a piece of string or a piece of wire, what was asked is that object still embedded in the planchet ?

No, the object is not there.
