I just got a new 2005 11 coin proof set from the US mint. On the obverse of the Minnesota quarter is a fairly large strike through. Any ideas what this set is worth? Like I said, this is brand new from the mint, original box and COA, still sealed case. All I seem to get from people is that this is extremely rare, but no idea to value.
Cool error! Is that strike thru retained in the planchet? Wither way I would say it's probably worth $20 or $30 to the right collector for just the quarter itself. Congrats.
whalct Your coin looks like it was struck thru maybe a piece of string or a piece of wire, what was asked is that object still embedded in the planchet ? Rick
