2005 P Nickel PMD Die scratch Die Gorge

Hi this coin has some kind of scratch coming from the corner of his eye. I do not think it is PMD but you never know what some people can do to coins. As always you guys are the best.

I hate to say it but that is one well placed piece of damage. If you look closely you can see displaced metal on the left side of the cut.

 

It is in a strange place like a tear went down and dissolved a line in it. Are you thinking PMD?

Yes, whatever struck your coin just happened to hit it at the lowest edge of the crease in his eye. But yes, it is damaged and a spender in my book.

 

Many times it is. Don't assume it is not.

And I think you meant Die Gouge.. Not Gorge.
If it were a gouge it would appear raised on the surface not incused.
