2005 P Minnesota Quarters Missing Stamp

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by dave new to coins, Feb 18, 2015.

  1. Hello. I know the pictures are hard, but I tried to highlight. I bought a bag of sealed US Mint Minn Quarters. Several of them are missing detail between the trees. I have posted a picture of a normal one, and a couple pictures of the ones that are missing detail. Can u guys help me? What happened to these, and is there any value? they are brand new. I can try for better pics in daylight. They are 'voids'? Don't know term. Juat missing detail.

Over polished dies that has had detail polished away around the trees in the center of the coin.

  5. Thank you Conder. I have about 20 of these, varying degrees, some actually missing chunks of trees also. They all came from the same US mint sealed bag, and compared to the correct coin some are not even close. Is there any value for these doe you think? I'll look again under p[olish issue, but couldn't find this defect. I was hoping since I have so many, and they came from the mint bag, not pocket change, I might get something for them, other than $0.25, in which case I will simply keep and display. Thanks again, and yes, I know, different forum for coin value, but thought folks here know a lot, so...
