2005 p buffalo nickels

i have about 20 rolls of these uncirculated just sitting here that i got form my bank when they came out. what should i do with them? i was in hoard mode at the time, but it seems i should just open them up and circulate them. is there anything to look for? just curious.

Look for the Speared Bison, along with any other errors.

 

You might try selling them here on the forum. Your not gonna get rich but you won't lose money.

 

can you provide me with some more information? i did a quick search and all i came up with was tons of ebay auctions and some articles how many of the auctions were the product of people altering the coins.

 

the metal alone is worth more than .05, I'd say keep 'em

 

For whatever it's worth, I've been doing pocket change and the occasional roll of nickels from the bank for the past few months and I've only seen 3-4 of those buffalo nickels and that was right when they came out. I haven't seen any in circulation for months. Gotta be one of the rarest "recent" coins out there.

Of course, this doesn't mean they're worth any more than other nickels. I really don't know what it means
