2005 mint uncirculated set - missing mint mark

Decided to open and check a couple of the 2005 mint uncirculated sets that recently came in. Of the first five sets checked, the Philadelphia sets were consistently missing the "P" mint mark on the penny. I've been collecting a couple of years and am pretty familiar with filled dies, light strikes etc. These pennies don't appear to be either. They simply appear to have had the mint mark omitted from the die. Has any one else seen this error(?) in their 2005 uncirculated sets, or has there been any news about this variety?

The cents from Phillie don't have a mint mark. In fact most of the coins from Phillie haven't had mint marks until ____. (I don't remember the year for the nickel, dime, quarter, etc.) But the cent is still not marked.

Thanks - really don't collect pennies - so don't know much about them.

I think 1975 was the year for the P mintmark -- at least for the nickels!

The P mintmark was added to the SBA dollar in 1979 and added to the Nickel through Half in 1980. By around 1987 the mintmark had been added at the master hub stage instead of punching them into each working die.
