2005 deformed Lincoln head.

    Check this oddity out. Look at and around his ear. I tried looking up info on it and found nothing.

    I have quite a few pennies that look like the annealing process went way wrong.

    The copper plated zinc cents are not annealed after plating.

    It's zinc so no annealing process is involved.

    It's actually Environmental toning. Chemicals, human secretions, the elements.. All affect the copper plating. Which as mentioned is not Annealed.
     
  9. Dunno...look at the "blems"....ie "In God We......"....kinda looks all "sratched up" the edge of the coin too...maybe causing the funny face?
