2004D DD or just a whole lotta DDD?

    I realize there's definite signs of DDD but some of it seems neat and clean and raised, but it's probably wishfull thinking.

    Really? I've got another 2004D and it looks different. But maybe just my eyes. Here's another shot a little closer.

    Look at the word 'TRUST" for example, notice how the 'doubled " part makes the top of the T and R look half as wide as the vertical part . A Doubled die increases the size, doesn't reduce the width of the detail, It is MD IMO with possible small amount of Die deterioration. But ask a single squeeze expert also as SS coins are not my thing. Jim

    Looks like DDD on a Zinc Cent and that is normal to me.

    Hi:)
    Imho, it looks like a misaligned die strike or mad with die deterioration.
    Not a ddd or md.
    If you look at the rim there’s an extra rim line. Meaning the collar might be out of alignment from when the hammer die strikes the planchet.
