[IMG]Hi Hi all, I have a 2004 silver proof set and one of the silver quarters (Iowa) has a die break line coming from the edge of coin through one of the kids and towards moms face into tree in the image at around 4 to 5 oclock position. Image taken with 30 times magnification for clarity. How much would this be worth?

The images are rather small to see anything. Try hosting your images on Photobucket (free accounts) and use the image URL to post here, the images will/should then appear larger.

Maybe a helpful site for your reference: Mint Error News

Find out value before you list it, so you can sell it later for a more accurate amount.

Thank you Krispy! I will put images on photobucket and then put on here. I checked all over Mint Error News site and didn't see anything with Iowa proof quarter!

Is there a scuff or mark on the rim of the coin also?

I can't see the actual rim (side) of the coin, so not sure if break is there also, but there is a scuff on the plastic holder on top right next to the edge of coin. That was there when I bought it.:) Let me rephrase that- The edge does have a crack on it also, but cannot see it too well in image because of that scuff mark on the plastic holder and I cannot see the reeded edge to see if the crack is on there also.

Hi,

Die Crack Silver State Quarters like your's are generally
worth $50-$75 or so.

If you want to sell it, Ebay is about your only venue.

It's not the type of item I normally purchase.

Hope this info helps.

That's nice to get Fred's input. Helps you get a frame of reference on what you might be able to hope to get in selling this piece. Also, try to PM mikediamond with an inquiry.
