2004 Quarter question...

    It appears the obverse is missing some of the clad layer. Would it have anything to do with what's on the reverse? 2004fullobv.jpg 2004fullrev.jpg 2004crop.jpg

    Damage to the clad layer. Post mint damage.
    Probably a harsh chemical.

    Not a mint error of any kind.

    Darned near looks like a spot weld, except no damage to the obverse, but still, just PMD with staining or discoloration. Worth? 25¢.
