There are definitely areas that appear slightly doubled. However, given the process in minting a proof coin, which involves multiple strikes, I don't know if it would be considered doubled enough to command a premium. I'm sure someone who is an expert on errors will be along soon. :)

Thanks Susan for your reply, This is such an informative forum and I glad I have people like yourself to take the time for answers.
I tried to get the best pictures out but all the letters appear that way
and especially the 2 and the 4. Thanks again.

If ya wanna know the truth - I think I'd send those pics to Ken Potter. At first I though it was mechanical doubling. But then I noticed the notches at the corners of some of the letters. From what I understand - that is supposed to be one of the diagnostics for a genuine doubling. But I'm not really an error guy - just read a lot ;)

Hi GD I sent those pics to Ken Potter and he said it looks like strike doubling but couldn't say for sure. I might send it to him but he said it could take weeks to months to get back. Maybe i'll send him the coin and wait for his reply. Thanks for the feedback

Well he should know since he's an error dealer. But then again - without the coin in hand it's hard to say.
