I found a 2003A star note serial # FG00000770. I am curious what the value of this note is if anyone can give me an idea I'd appreciate it
Welcome to CT, Jason! I'm not sure of its value, but it will carry a good premium over face. It's a very low serial, and a binary serial. From a run of 1,920,000. Printed July, 2006. Please post a scan of your note. I'm jealous that you found it and I didn't.
Amazing find, and a superb low serial number + a star note!! What a home run ball you just clubbed. Yes, like Rick pointed out, would love to see a photo if you have one. What's the general condition of the note? Folds or tears?
Nice low number! Good find! But, like anything condition will determine what it's actual value will be. If you can provide a scan, that would help.
Generally, without adding any premium for the low serial, you'd be looking at $125 in XF, $200 in Gem CU. Pictures will be needed to see what condition your note is in.
The condition of the bill is really good for the most part. The top edge is a "little wavy" very little and it has a minor fold down the middle which i think i did when i added it to my other bills before noticing. I attached a couple pictures cause i don't have a scanner. Hopefully you can view them and thanks for the welcome.
Your note would most likely fall into the About Uncirculated criteria for grading, around a 55. Just for the note and not the fancy serial number, you'd be looking at around $150 in that condition.
Victorperez573: We need to see it for it's condition. We also need to have the serial number. Is it a star note? Or just a standard commercial issue? Without something special about it, you may not be as fortunate as Jason1978.
Shame on me. I wish these could be blocked out after a year or so. Or at least be flag in a way which indicates it's age. I was actually responding to Victorperez573 from two days ago, not the original poster.
