2003-P 25C Maine with cool Die Crack. This is a new coin in my Type set, I noticed this only after taking high rez photos.

I tried finding some other die variety examples online and failed. Is this a crack or a gouge or something else?

I wonder if anyone places value on these cracks, or this is more of just a "neat" feature.

It is a die crack and in a common location. It is really just an “extra added attraction” to an otherwise spectacular MS67. Very nice Maine statehood quarter.
Lots of collectors go for die cracks and other aberrant results, but the more egregious the anomaly the more interest there will be.

Nice. That is a common crack area and I have quite a few. But, I don't think have have any with the crack extending that far. I will look.

The one @dwhiz put up looks to be a small date and yours looks to be a large date. I can't tell for sure since it is a little out of focus.
