Hi folks! I'm pretty sure this one is off center...I just would like for you to take a look and tell me for sure this is not some sort of PMD (I honestly don't know how someone would create this type of error...but I'm sure it's been done somewhere) Give me your verdicts please...and again...thank you all for your help!:thumb:

    Peace,

I think you will find this is an off centered strike and not a partial collar strike.

Thanks Pyrbob & jello. I'm still leaning toward it being off center myself. After reviewing the link jallengomez provided it states, "If any part of the design is missing on the coin, it is not a broadstruck, it is an off center struck coin." Looking over the coin reverse, pics 3 & 5, you can clearly see that half of the top "UNITED" and the entire top of "STATES" is missing. So that alone makes it off center, right?

Thanks for the input thus far. :D

One question - is the coin as flat as a normal cent?

Good questions. No, it is thicker on the, what I'm assuming is, the unstruck end and then tapered a bit to the end that appears struck. Does that make sense? If I'm not phrasing that right and you still understand me, lol, please feel free to correct me on my terminology as I'm still new and learning. Thanks :)

Partial collar, probably tilted partial collar, strike.

Hmmm...o.k...now I'm officially confused...I've got 2 for partial collar strike, and 1 (2 including myself) for off center...anyone else want to take a guess? It's a real coin toss...hardeeharharrr...oh yeah...I crack myself up...<<<< please note the last stab at humor was just me being a smart arse... :p:D

    Peace,
