2003 nickel has ice cycle on the right side of the monument

Do all 2003 nickels have this on the monument. I haven't been able to find any to verify

Looks to be a small Die Break. The Die itself had a break or a Chip on it so the metal from the Blank Nickel Planchet flowed into it.
It's a common occurrence that could be found in different areas of the field. If it is near the edge of the coin it's called a CUD.

 

I don't know about the nickel but we have ice cycles here in south central Pennsylvania. 10 degrees this morning and it goes right though you. BRRRR

 

Do you ride them on frozen ponds or are they too heavy and risk breaking through the ice?
