I have a 2003-D Sacagawea dollar that seems to be 'spoting'. Some spots like oily residue are forming. I've tried soaking this dollar in rubbing alcohol but they're still there. Anyone help me without seeing it ? PVC from storing less than a month in a 2x2 ziplock ?

It may be PVC - it doesn't always take a long time to show up. But it may also be carbon spots. These spots plague the Sacky and can be found on any year or mint.

It is due to the nature of the metal and the washing process the coins go through after minting. As for getting them off - I don't know that you can.

"Do Not" dip these coins in cleaner

Whatever you do do not dip these coins in cleaners suchas EZ-est. It will destroy any finish on the coins.
