Fairly new to colleting so any input would be great. I've came across rainbow cents but not any like this one. I can post more pics if needed. It's bright gold and purple.
    Thanks. tmp_5891-2016-03-08 09.44.39-667915943.jpg tmp_5891-2016-03-08 09.55.47-494188935.jpg tmp_5891-2016-03-08 09.55.47-494188935.jpg

It looks like the coin came in contact with some foreign object which allowed a chemical reaction to occur much like we might see when a fingerprint is left on the surface of a coin.

I cant tell from the pics but the only 2 things that come to my mind is 1: Environmental or Post mint damage or 2: a struck through, # 2 depends on if the coin has that in the design and you can see it or feel it in the design or if it looks like its a stain on the coin. Sorry thats the best I could come up with without better pics.

My wild guess is it spent some time on a boat. Fishing net with a high sulfur content in the thread was laying on it.

A waffled coin looks like this actually. Which is not really an error anyway.
