I was going through a huge dish full of pocket change and I noticed that I had one 2003 quarter with the redesigned bust of Queen Elizabeth and one 2003 quarter with the old bust (w/crown). Do I have an error coin or did they make the transition between the designs during 2003?
Both effigies were issued in 2003 for all denominations. I'm not sure about relative mintages but I think they were about the same
