I found this 2002 Louisiana Quarter in a roll working one day a few years ago. It isn't a San Fran mint so i dont think its silver. Just wondering if anyone knows what it would be worth. Thanks
Lake: Welcome, and I agree that it is probably not silver, but it may be plated. The only way to find out is to get it certified, or someone may be able to tell you the correct weights that is for silver or clad. Before you try to get it certified, to save you some money. Also, it MAY be one struck without the copper core.
Hello, and welcome to the forum! That is a regular Louisiana state quarter made out of copper/nickel. It is a clad coin...Outer layers - 75% Copper, 25% Nickel. Center - 100% Copper. Any other questions feel free to ask.
Thanks for the replys! Yeah i didn't know if it would be a clad or not because of the edges and i knew the silvers struck in San Fran should show the S mint instead of the P. May not be worth much but i hadn't seen one like it before from the new series so i'll hold onto it just for the hell of it. Thanks a lot folks
