2002 Quarter missing layer clad

    Hello. and merry christmas to everyone here.
    i got this quarter yesterday at laundry vending machine.
    and its looks both side are missing layer clad. any i weighted and same the regular quarter weight

    Environmental damage to me. Looks like a find in the ground.

    Agreed! Environmental damage. @paddyman98 is one of our resident metal detectorists, and he can show you dozens of coins that he found in the ground which look just like this.

    Missing Clad layer usually occurs just on one side of a Clad coin.
    As stated.. Your find is definitely Environmental Damage. Exposure to dirt, soil, sand, weather will do this to a clad coin :yack:
