So Is this press through grease or just low standards that the mint allows to walk out the front door??? best pics I can get with the 'scope.
Yes but coins never leave through the front door. It's always via the shipping dock. And don't EVER think that the US Mint examines each and every coin. There are tolerances and there are acceptable flaws due to manufacturing limitations. You just cannot produce 3,100,000 of something and expect that each one will be perfect. BTW, when I saw the thread, I was kinda hoping it was a broken collar thread since 2002 did have quite a Kennedy's produced with a broken collar. This creates a little nib which sticks out of the reeded edge.
oh...broken collar--ok---- Please attach pic for my learning and others if you have one-sounds like another fun hunt- As far as EVER thinking- I'm always thinking and learning....
