It just doesn't look right and the 2 doesn't look like it took a hit. Also, the left bar of the Y looks like it has a split. The T & R look like they have something going on too. Take a look.
Hmmm...with a notch that big, I would expect heavy distortion on the rest of the date with notching on the 1...I personally think it is a well-placed hit.
