2001 kentucky quarter looks almost like a woody?

    I have found a couple like this (not all Kentucky) looks almost like it has gray and light black streaks all over the obv and rev. hope photos are adequate. cleaning out old finds make room for new. is that something worth keeping? whether it is or isn't does it have a "classification" or name? ty.

    Pretty cool. I am interested to hear about this too. I have found a few similar to yours but not nearly as drastic. Looks to be a die chip on the "N" of the motto too

    I don't think there are Improperly Mixed Alloys.. Aka woodies for Clad Coins
    Maybe something was stuck to it.. Tape?
