Looks a lot like the P version of the NC DDO. http://varietyvista.com/09c WQ Vol 3 States/2001PNCDDO001 quarter.htm
Chris oh Chris. If you put as much time into examining coins, then putting other members down for doing an excellent job in their coin examination. An error is an error no matter how big or how small. And Chris though you may be a long time member. Since I joined CT the only coins I've seen you post or store-bought coins. Evidently you have forgot what coin examination is. Or like many other members on CT you would be posting your new fines. Your new fines of what you buy at a coin show are you buy online. And Chris personally since you live in South Florida like myself, I'm kinda glad you don't examine coins anymore. That just means there's more error coins out there to be found by myself and others. Chris when the last time you had a good pocket change Find I guess it's been a while since you haven't examine any coins since I've been on CT. As I said before when it comes to you. You talk a good talk but you stumble when you walk. Just because you have a computer and a smart phone that doesn't make you any smarter. USMC60
Actually Chris could write the book on this type of stuff. When you have been doing it as long as he has, you will understand.
Maybe my arrow was not the best choice to show the area. It's not the small mark next to the hair, but the two extra curls directly behind the ear. Actually, I noticed these lines with just a 4x loupe and can be seen with a regular pair of reading glasses. Gotta use that cause my eye sight is not what it once was, but I would think a younger collector could see this without magnification.
Don't get me wrong! I'm not blaming you. It is the so-called experts who allow this stuff to be accepted into the world of varieties that I blame. Chris
All I can say is to birds of a feather stick together. Over this past year I have watched both you and Chris insult and discourage new members with their fines. I will give Chris the credit of his extensive book knowledge. And the time that he's put into learning what he has learned. But over this past year I've also noticed his lack of acceptance in the new varieties. Except that it's what it is, it's what we have now. who knows what tomorrow will bring. Yes Chris is a very competent fax finder of what's already been published.(Without practical application and common sense all that knowledge is useless) But sadly to say I have not seen any contribution to error coins history submitted by Chris since I joined CT.Though I've seen several members even the new members have made contributions to error coin history in 2016. If you're going to complain about the new varieties and not accept it that is your choice, but stop discouraging others to pursue what they like. usmc60
All you do is lie and make things up. You show me where I have discouraged anyone. You can't because it's a lie. On top of that you are the one that insults anyone that tells you the truth or has a different opinion. Just look in this thread. That's proof of how you act.
You mentioned the word truth truth by who? (You) let me give you a little clue people are different. People are entitled to their own opinions. And yes that's a bad habit of mine I always tell it like I see it. Oh and you say I have a tendency to lie, well here's a little truth for you. Maybe you ought to refresh your memory and go to this thread and read what you told this young man. Tyler Graton said: ↑ Oh sweet. I assume it's not worth much unless it's perfect or AU right? Idk why I can't tell the difference between die chops and grease filled You were told the difference in the other thread. It's not that hard to understand. Larry https://www.cointalk.com/threads/homestead-quarter-error.293956/ Unfortunately this is how a few members treat people that are different. And Larry that's only one example. USMC60
Hey,everybody I am post my 2017 Quarter one look like a error or a double die in the word Dollar look closer tell me what you all think.
Everybody quit looking for errors. Chris has decided they are insignificant and worthless. The jury has spoken. No need to learn anything new.
And... it's a little hard to be completely certain from your images, but you coin appears to be Machine Doubling to me.
