Ok, the PC brigade deleted my original thread due to the title (or maybe it was what I implied about Prince Harry) and with it my preamble describing the problem. I can't be bothered to repeat it all, so here it is in a nutshell - because I do want coin fans opinions on this - I bought a 2000 sov on ebay. that's all the description said - In the post I got the sov, but incorporated into a special, limited edition, Queen Mother themed First Day Cover (stamps) I'm slightly conflicted. - On the one hand I have a one of 2000 thing - plus the sov - On the other its hard to store (in my little tin) and also harder for me to enjoy having it -since I cant hold it in my hands like I can my other sovs. Bit inconvenient all said. I'm canvassing opinion - would you be happy or upset or conflicted?
Hi if you really want to feel the sov in your hand : crack the cover ( i must confess i have never bought a slabbed or encapsulated in some sort coin... till now since i need to feel them ) Just my 2 centimes - Froggy ( a little bit  this evening )
It is awful isnt it I love the feel of a sov in my hand. I'm not so keen on an A4 picture of the immediate Royal Family gurning at me. I note Harry isn't in the picture... I so want to pop the sov, but I don't like the idea of popping a, so far, sealed cover. Its doing the undoable- popping its cherry I really wish I'd just been sent a sov like I thought I was getting - and not this appended awfulness
That's what I thought I ordered (its what I did order-a single sov) so its not as though I'M the one losing the seal on a 2000 limited edition cover - its the world. If anyone reads this thread and really wants the cover - swap me for a mint 2000 sov with no cover, pay the postage - and you might have a deal. Otherwise, in a few weekends time, i'll want to play with my sovs (including this one) and I'll prob break it open
