Are these Mint rolls with either P or D mintmark on the wrapper? If these are rolls that were purchased through the "Direct Ship Program" the Mint initiated last year they won't have a P or D on the wrapper, and I might be able to save you the trouble. I purchased a couple boxes through the Direct Ship, and I only found one coin that might have graded MS67 which wouldn't have been worth it to have it graded. About 20% of the coins had an unsightly haze that was common on many of the Sacs from the first year of issue, and you have to remember that these coins were stored in bags at the Treasury for 10 years. About the only thing you might hope to find is an undocumented error which is rather unlikely, too. Chris
Thanks for the info. I will have to look on the wrappers, but I don't think they are marked in any way. These are just a couple more items I've come across from my father's collection, and I don't know when he got them. Will double check tho. Thanks again.
Okay, Greenie, let's not get his hopes up. At most, there were only 5,500 of the "Cheerios" Sac's produced with the enhanced feathers, but no one really knows for sure the actual total. Unfortunately, many of those coins were probably spent by the kids who found them in the boxes of cereal. Chris
